LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) is an American professional basketball player with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful players of all time and is frequently compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player ever. James has been awarded four NBA championships, four NBA MVPs, three All-Star MVPs along with the two Olympic medals. James is an NBA All-Star and has most points in playoffs, the second highest career point total, and the seventh highest career assist total. James has been the NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, an all-time record. James has also been selected for the NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. The third highest number of NBA Finals ever was ten, with eight being consecutive between 2011 and 2018. James made part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. He was one of the few NBA player to score 10,000 points in his career. James was a student at St. Vincent St. Mary High School near his home in Akron Ohio. His future NBA career was hyped up by media. To prepare for the pro game it was the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the number one overall pick during the NBA draft of 2003. Named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, He quickly established himself as one of the best league players, winning the NBA MVP title in both 2009 and 2010. James was a free agency in 2010, after he failed to earn championships in Cleveland. He made the decision to leave Cleveland for Miami Heat, announced on the show on television The Decision, is considered as one of the most controversial free-agent decisions in the history of sports.
